Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on form of bodywork that balances the musculoskeletal system, releases tension deep within the body, and enhances the body’s ability to heal. CST can induce a deeply relaxing space helping to facilitate a release of emotional and physical wounds and balance the mind, body, and spirit. CST is used as a preventive health measure for its ability to increase resistance to disease and is effective for a wide range of ailments associated with pain and dysfunction.

How does Craniosacral Therapy work?

CST works by releasing tension stored in the body that creates patterns of imbalance and disease. Trapped forces in the body create a strain on the central nervous system inducing a trickle-down effect of dysfunction in the body. By releasing these forces, CST helps to relax the nervous system and restore health and wellbeing.

During a CST treatment, the practitioner uses light touch to listen to the body’s subtle rhythms and to help correct proper movement and function. By normalizing the environment around the brain and spinal cord and enhancing the body’s ability to self-correct, Craniosacral Therapy can alleviate a wide variety of dysfunctions, from chronic pain and sports injuries to stroke and neurological impairment.

What conditions is Craniosacral Therapy good for?
