Digestive Disorders
Digestive symptoms including gas and bloating, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and reflux are common problems that can be caused from a wide array of conditions. At BCNC, our goal is to determine the root cause of these symptoms.
We evaluate for food sensitivities, celiac disease and gluten-related conditions, dysbiosis (abnormal bacteria in the large intestine), IBD (irritable bowel disease), colitis (inflammation of the colon), and parasites. We also recommend breath testing to diagnose Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) and fructose intolerance concerns. Digestive problems can also be associated with various systemic illnesses that are commonly missed by other physicians such as viral, fungal, and bacterial infections, autoimmune issues and neurologic disorders.
Once the problem has been identified, the physicians at BCNC will make specific dietary recommendations to accelerate healing and remove any sources of inflammation. Natural and/or prescription medications are then utilized to remove any pathogenic organisms, replace nutrients and enzymes needed for healthy digestion, repair and heal inflamed tissue and reinoculate a healthy microbiome.
For autoimmune, neurologic and endocrine based concerns, treatment may also involve low dose naltrexone, neural therapy, immunotherapy, peptides or possibly IVs.
